Guest: Ryan Christopher, artist

In this episode of Springvossen Robert van Altena has a conversation with Ryan Christopher (UK) on the occasion of his show ‘Eclogue, St. Perpetua’ at Slewe Gallery. The show will be on view up until 23 march. 'Eclogue St.Perpetua' is Ryan Christopher’s first gallery show after concluding his two year residency at De Ateliers in 2023.

“I don’t want the works to be about my own voice, but I want them to be a void of my own voice, so then they could be filled with someone else’s. And I think that’s the similar thing that they [Søren Kierkegaard and Robert Bresson] wanted and that they wanted to get out of themselves in a sense, or to provoke poetry in other people or provoke thoughts or emotion in other people. And I think that is something that I naturally picked up.” (Ryan Christopher)
