Scott grew up in Neenah, Wisconsin. Along with being an exceptional birder and bird guide, he is an accomplished endurance athlete, fisherman, x-c skier and boater. He and his wife Becky have a daughter named Quetzal and are expecting a baby boy in November. Scott teaches science at Service High School and has been nominated several times for "father and husband of the year."
