Steve is familiar to Alaskans as a broadcast personality, newscaster, public radio talk show host and country music disc jockey. He arrived in Alaska in 1982 but did not realize until recently that he was an official Alaska Codger. He was the last to know. Everybody else figured out long ago- his partner recognized this codger nature within minutes of their driving across the border.
