Arthur Versluis, Ph.D., is the founder and president of the Hieros Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring the sacred to modern life. Formerly Chair of the Department of Religious Studies at Michigan State University, he is the author of numerous acclaimed books, including Sacred Earth and The Secret History of Western Sexual Mysticism.
