December 2013 was a hectic rush of friends, family and gigs back in my home country and looked a little something like:
4our 2nd Bday -> Summer on the Green -> Strange Fruit -> S.A.S.H -> Sound of Thought #5 -> Revolver -> Tramp -> Spice Cellar -> EXIT -> Mad Racket NYE. Phew!
Finally back in Berlin now and after listening back to all those recordings I have chosen to share the one from Mad Racket NYE at the Marrickville Bowlo (Sydney), and definitely not because it is the most technically proficient! Au contraire, it was the very wee hours of the new year and everyone was fairly loose, me included.
Mad Racket has been at the top of my gig wishlist for many years now. It's an incredible, world-class shindig, the residents are among the best djs on the planet and it was such a big honour to be invited to play.
If 2014 continues in the manner in which it began then it is going to be some year!
