Miami-based nautical artist and boat-builder, the venerable Captain Jim Flood stopped by the club and played his favorites. Jim and Tina had just finished showing their handmade boat, "The Duchess" at the 2019 Sunnyland Boat Show in Tavares, FL. I had them over to the Clubhouse for dinner and while Tina was preparing the food, I mic'd Jim up, poured some drinks and started rolling. What you hear is what was got.
Recorded on Zoom R24. Vocals were patched through Altec 1566 preamp. Keys routed directly to Fender Bronco guitar amp. I forget the mics. Mixed on the fly. No rehearsal.
