Jake Hughes is a mover & shaker, the kind of guy that makes things happen in the background without breaking a sweat. His fun yet no-frills brand of electronic music has seen him play at venues including Brown Alley, Revolver Upstairs, Pawn & Co, Prince of Wales, Railway Hotel Brunswick, My Aeon, and Glamorama, supporting the likes of Andhim, Butch, Dubfire, Eagles & Butterflies, Kolsch, Kolombo, Michael Mayer, Oliver Koletzki, Niko Schwind, and Laura Jones.
He also co-runs Forgery, an event series which has acquired a name for good times and good music. The brand’s portfolio includes a monthly residency at Ferdydurke (the second Friday of every month) and one-off events at Section 8.
Forgery’s upcoming collaboration with Bay Radio, called Flex Appeal, will see them host the second room at the forthcoming smalltown with Ben Klock, Jennifer Cardini and Mind Against. This Novelcast is a perfect taster of what you can expect to hear.
