Starting his career in the early nineties, Damon Jee has followed an unconventional path towards becoming a globally renowned DJ. The last two years have seen a surge in his profile, no doubt due to the effective simplicity displayed in his productions, it is the sort of tracks that can ignite any flagging dancefloor.
His remix of Pardon Moi's 'Power To The People' was considered by many DJs as one of last year's biggest club tracks. But it was his recent Beatport-charting release on Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant records which introduced him to a whole new audience. Further online videos showing artists such as Maceo Plex and Carl Cox rinsing his tracks to thousands of people only added to the mounting interest in Damon Jee. He will be making his Australian debut in Melbourne for the launch of new night Darklove before flying to Syndey to play Goodbar - and the anticipation for his arrival is very real.
