With a passion for all things deep, dark, funky and fast, Monfreaq hit the ground running after learning to DJ while living in the Netherlands and being surrounded by the thriving Dutch techno scene. Since coming home to Melbourne, she has played along with local and international talents at venues such as Radar, Glamorama, Boney and Xe54, as well as a few raves in the hidden corners and warehouses of the city. Her sets encompass a wide range of music from different genres and periods, weaving together elements of UK dance music and Detroit influenced house, techno and electro. Recorded at the sold-out DJ Koze show, we were lucky enough to secure Monfreaq's set from the Darklove side room takeover for our next Novelcast.
