7-23-2023 Passed Ball Show. John opens this program by discussing the over discussed upcoming baseball trading deadline. John has contested for years the fact that the media drives how a baseball team can either be a buyer or a seller. Each professional sports team has the right to operate as its own entity. John then discusses the issue that seems to involve the NFL’s running backs. Even the most elite at the position has become expendable and easily replaceable while this is a problem and John doesn’t have an issue with the running backs, organizing some sort of union. This doesn’t seem to be an issue that’s going to resolve itself in the favor of the NFL’s running back, John also discusses the fantasy football implications of having two running backs on a roster. Finally, during today’s saving sports history segment John talks about the 1866 Cincinnati, red stockings, Hank Greenberg, Dan Quisenberry, Bill Buckner, Don Mattingly, all while praising Lance Armstrong for his dominance in the world of sports.
