Brian Franklin, owner of the Doubleshot Coffee, shares to us about his building and why he chose to buy one instead of renting for his business. Bryan purchased a warehouse, built in 1928, in the Northwest Side of Tulsa which leads people to think that he is out of his mind but they didn’t know what’s on his mind. He looked for a building to buy that has a character, old and eventually will turn it into a Cafe. When he comes across this building he sees that he can make another Doubleshot out of this crap. When he bought this building he realized why a lot of business owners are shied away from buying real estate for their business instead they settle in renting when in fact, in his point of view, buying real estate changed his future drastically and changed his ability to grow business. Doubleshot building is perfect for tourists. He recreated the bar and it took 7 years to get things done. His ideas on reconstructing the building is that when people walk in, they would have an idea of what type of person he is. The building was built in 1850 and they reconstructed it. It’s a lot cheaper in monetary value than building a metal building. The expensive part is putting in so much thought and time. It’s a work of art! Brian also is taking the effort to maintain the greenness of the building. He put solar panels on the roof, recycling, and being careful of the water usage.
