Martha Rongey shares to us what Junior Achievement is all about. Junior Achievement trains the future workforce from Kindergarten to 12th Grade. They inspire young people to succeed in the global economy. They have a tested and age appropriate curriculum. Basically they train students how to become a good citizen, how to be a good family member, how to write a check and even what’s the difference between debit and credit. They also help the less fortunate young people make their own choices, that there are choices and help them realize to become who they want them to be. Part of the investor challenge program is the curriculum called “Take Stock in Your Future” for 9th-12th Grade. It gives an idea to high school students how the stock market works, learn about investing concepts and such. It opens up their minds to learn something new. They are not just training the students to become a stock broker or something else but they are making sure that the students are not afraid and intimidated and to have control of their financial future.
