Adam Foreman talks about School Bus Drivers on how and why bus drivers are important for the kids. Bus drivers probably do more training than anybody because they are responsible for the safety of your kids. They are the first and last interaction that kids have everyday. We need people that care about the kids' safety and their welfare. Bus drivers have to go through months and months of training to make sure that they operate safety hazards correctly, part-time disciplinarian, and other excessive training on how they de-escalate if there’s a problem. They thoroughly screened, background checked, their driving records and they have to get the proper license to drive that certain vehicle. They also go through training where they get to know how to do a radio call when a kid is lost or a kid didn’t go on the bus or the kid stayed on the bus and did not go off his stop. It really takes a special person to be able to do that. Bus drivers should be genuine and take good care of the students. Must value the children on a bus, and that becomes the profile of a School Bus Driver. We need people who are willing to fill that role and requirements required to be a bus driver.
