The Tulsa metro area now has a Linear park and Jared Cottle talks about this which is one of the latest projects that is part of the downtown river corridor efforts. This will make people come out and enjoy all of its amenities. They can come enjoy the river, ride on the river, there will also be food trucks and events on the bridge. This also connects trail systems where families can enjoy biking and these places are instagram worthy views which will attract more people. The city hall also has a tremendous makeover to optimize the use of the spaces, connect the buildings and to update the exterior of the building. This will attract more people to come and get a property in a place where they can enjoy and spend time with their family.
Jared also shared to us the facade grant program that is available for downtown business owners. The council established this to offer upto $10,000 in matching grant money to any business or building owners that is looking for updates on their facade, their windows, their doors, and any renewal project their going to do.
