The Game Changers podcast celebrates those true pioneers in education who are building schools for tomorrow. In this fourth conversation of Series Fifteen, we talk with Drew Cortes.
Drew Cortese serves as the Director of Global Partnerships at The Avenues School. With a background in the Arts, Adriano, he’s taught Drama, designed learning experiences, worked in senior management positions in schools, all the while contemplating what's possible for lifelong learners the world over. He began his journey with The Avenues School as a founding faculty member at their New York City campus in 2012. Within the Avenues Research & Development team, Drew specializes in identifying and securing opportunities to expand the school's global community, now spanning three continents and 37 countries. Earlier, he helped launch their experience design practice, focusing on instilling pride among students, families, and staff affiliated with the school. Nevertheless, Drew's favorite role was and is teaching - whether in a physical classroom or online - and matching wits with Avenues students from around the world.
