SILVIO RODRIGUES:
Silvio Rodrigues, DJ/Executive Producer, Event Coordinator & Owner of Silvio Rodrigues Music record label. Musical entrepreneur and creator of the globally known Overseas Sessions Podcast & Radio Show.
Originally from Brazil, Silvio’s passion for music started at an early age spinning at school dances and matinees eventually moving to the US to pursue his dreams.
Silvio Rodrigues began his professional career in Boston, Massachusetts where he attended the Certificate Program in Disk Jockeying at DJ Mix Academy (America's Only Comprehensive DJ Educational Program) earning six Professional Certificates of Achievement.
Upon completion of his certification, Silvio Rodrigues also known as Dido Spin at the time, played in major venues such as Whiskey Park, Underbar, Rumor, Roxy, Mantra, Gypsy Bar, Venu, Rise and Marina Bay Beach Club to name just a few in Massachusetts. He also held residencies at Tabu Night Club, Club Lido and produced many of his own events. Silvio Rodrigues was exposed to different genres of music and supported his native roots by performing at Brazilian Nights and major Brazilian Concerts.
Silvio’s eternal love for house music made him crave a scene focused on electronic music and a thirst to experience growth outside of Boston. Silvio then moved to New York City, where he organized and produced the first electronic music DJ stage at Brazilian Day 2009 Festival in Manhattan. In NYC he fully dedicated himself to the electronic music scene producing his own tracks and spinning in clubs such as Pacha, Cielo, Le Souk, TBA, Sullivan Room, Verboten, etc.
In 2011, Silvio established his own record label, Silvio Rodrigues Music, directed towards discovering talent and serving as a stepping stone for artists on their quest to get their work heard. Within his record label, he launched three album compilation series: Dope Music, Erogenous and Connected By Electronic Music which are released on all major digital stores.
Silvio now has a new studio in Miami expanding his artistry as DJ and producer. He splits his time between studio work, producing and playing in and outside of the USA.
In Miami Silvio has been producing several art + music events and is spinning in clubs such as 11Rooftop, Fire&Ice, Commonwealth, TSL, R-House Wynwood, Wynwood 5th Ave, IT Lounge, The Confidante Hotel and Segafredo to name a few.
Silvio showcases Overseas Sessions a weekly Podcast and Radio Show sharing his experiences with other DJ’s around the world and enjoying a wide range of support from his fans.
