Description

A new holiday street plan is in effect in Midtown Manhattan. Cars, trucks, and buses are now banned during the afternoons and evenings on 49th and 50th Street around Rockefeller Center. This gives pedestrians more space to wander around sights like the towering Christmas Tree and sparkling ice skating rink. But according to Susan Dooha, director of a local advocacy organization, restricting access for vehicles can also restrict access for people with disabilities. Anmargaret Warner reports.
