Everyone is invited to a special book conversation with former interim pastor at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church, Margaret T. Kutz, author of “Nevertheless, She Preached,” Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in Burke, Va.
Pastor Marg’s book tells the story of Reverends Lillian Russell and Mildred Long, the two earliest clergy women in Virginia Methodism. The book is based on years of research of primary sources.
Earlier on Sept. 26th, St. Stephen’s will be welcoming Pastor Marg to the pulpit for both our 9 a.m. Outdoor and 11 a.m. in-person and Livestream worship services.
Pastor Marg served as an interim pastor at St. Stephen’s in 2014 and 2015. This special event is sponsored by the St. Stephen’s United Methodist Women.
