Psalm 125 is a psalm of assurance. In a world of insecurity, assurance is a valued commodity. Assurance, however, is not found in the world but in God. In the psalm, the writer is surrounded by wickedness, evil, and iniquity. However, he discovers that Lord is there and promises to protect him and provide him with peace.
