Psalm 126 is a song of joyful laughter. In 586 BC, Judah was taken into captivity. Now seventy years later, Jewish exiles begin the journey back to the Promised Land. This psalm is written by those returning. It depicts the joyful laughter they experienced as they watched God deliver them from their captors. Believers too should be filled with joyful laughter as they witness God’s deliverance in their lives.
