Jesus addresses how one’s words reflect the genuine nature of one’s heart. The pericope in Matthew 12:33-37 can be titled, “Heart Reflections: Words Matter.” Words matter because they reveal whether one’s heart is good or evil. Furthermore, words matter because the words of their mouth will judge one’s heart.
