Psalm 106 is a song about human sin and divine compassion. Written during the Exilic Period, this psalm is a confessional recounting Israel’s history of faithlessness to God. Despite her sin, God had compassion upon the nation, so that when the people repented, God delivered them from captivity. In part 2, we consider humanity's punishment.
