Psalm 143 is the complaint of the desolate. Again, the psalmist finds himself in crisis. He is overwhelmed, lonely, and surrounded by enemies. He wonders how or what he can even pray in such a state. However, as David reflects upon God, he understands that he can pray regardless of his feelings or even if he does not know what to pray.
