Description

From photographer to buyer’s agent, Dragan Dimovski, founder of Buyers Agency Australia, has always focused on being his own boss. He started his own photography business at 22 and expanded until he had 15 employees.

Dragan bought his first apartment when he was 23. Through his investments, he met buyer’s agents and learnt from them. But he always knew he was going to do it himself one day.

Dragan tells Buyer’s Agent Institute founder Ben Handler that running a buyer’s agency is much more relaxing than running a photography business. There are fewer employees, lower overheads and more money.

Being a buyer’s agent is also very rewarding for Dragan, because he loves helping others and giving back, for example by guiding young buyers on the best way to invest their money.

Dragan has also learnt how to adapt his approach to suit the owner-occupier buyers who may make an emotional decision versus the investors who are more concerned about the numbers.

For now, Dragan plans to keep his business small. That will allow him to focus on a few clients at a time, and to have more time to build relationships with real estate agents who make his job easier by alerting him ahead of the general public about quality properties.
