Grant Johnsen, founder of Buyer’s Butlers, has had a long involvement in property, after starting as a carpenter and later moving into building certification.
Grant tells Buyer’s Agent Institute founder Ben Handler he’s passionate about helping other businesses grow and scale up – especially buyer’s agencies.
Grant loves helping clients buy great properties (not just good properties), which is where his town planning background comes in handy.
Grant created an app named Develop which gives you property information, in simple language, at a touch of the button. For now, it’s only for Queensland, but he intends to take it nationally.
It’s important to be a business leader, not just a manager, says Grant. He wants to motivate other business owners to become leaders too.
The buyer’s agent industry is very welcoming. They encourage each other and are willing to share, according to Grant. Instead of being hardcore sales agents, buyer’s agents are consultants, guides, coaches and mentors. Grants says mentors are important, but they must be honest and help keep you on track.
Grant feels it’s important to create a business space in which you, your employees and your clients can flourish. That includes scheduling your work-life balance. He sees business as an avenue to bring blessings to others.
