St. Joseph was chosen from all men to be the foster father of Jesus. This shows us how much our Lord values Joseph's intercession, and why we can look to Joseph as a father figure in our own lives. Pope Francis actually declared that this liturgical year (December 8, 2020 - December 8, 2021) is dedicated to this holy man. Finally, with his solemnity coming up on March 19, I wanted to share why I've personally come to love St. Joseph so much (and no, it's not just because we can eat meat if his feast day falls on a Friday of Lent...though that is a definite plus).

The following prayer is the one to St. Joseph the Worker that I prayed as a novena (so for nine days straight), which CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER. St. Joseph the Worker, pray for us!
"St. Joseph the Worker, please grant peace and guidance to those seeking employment. Beloved patron of all workers, I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest to find employment. I wish to use the gifts and talents God has given me, but I need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon me, dear Foster Father of Jesus, in this search, but rather intercede to God for this favor I seek, so that I may return with praise to God and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen."
