In this episode, Pastor Bryant Jones continues our Advent study through the Book of Ruth with a teaching of how God is always taking care of his people, even when we don’t feel like it; He has provided for our greatest need through the cross of Jesus, from Ruth 2:1-23.

Often the month of December can be filled with anticipation of things upcoming—parties, obligations, gift-buying and gift-receiving. “Advent” literally means “coming,” and in the season of Advent we have the opportunity to intentionally refocus and anticipate something even more glorious and enduring—the “comings” of our King Jesus Christ.
This year, we are studying the Book of Ruth during Advent because in her story we find our common story—the reality of living in a fallen world and needing rescue. Ruth’s story is about redemption and hope of a bright future, and in this way, Ruth anticipates Advent—the coming of Christ. Her story reminds us that no matter how dark life gets, light is coming.
