PK the kangaroo, just turned three
“Mum, can I go and play wild and free?”
Mama Roo smiled, said, “Run and explore,
But don’t go napping by the Pongo Pongo grass floor!”

Bounce, bounce, bounce through the bush he goes
Curly brown tail and big eager toes
Tempted by sunlight and soft, swaying green
PK lay down and slipped into a dream
[Verse 2]
He opened his eyes with a gasp and a cry
His fur was now pink, from his ears to his thigh!
“Crikey!” said PK, "I need to be fixed."
So off to wise Bark, the old gum tree, he zipped
[Bridge]
Bark said, “Go walkabout, seek friends on your way
Listen real close to what each one will say."
So PK set off through the Australian sun
Hoping to find help from everyone
[Chorus]
Bounce, bounce, bounce, what a funny sight,
PK’s fur had turned rosy and bright!
He gasped and laughed, “Oh, mercy me—
The pinkest roo in the whole country!”
[Verse 3]
Ripples the crocodile, old, clever, and sly
“Stick to the riverbank, never swim by.”
Fluffy the koala, nodded in the tree
“Trust your own instincts if restless you be.”
Giggles the kookaburra laughed so loud
But pointed PK right through prickles and clouds.
Humphrey the camel, grumpy but wise
Said “Watch the sky closely for tricks and surprise.”

Bounce, bounce, bounce, what a funny sight,
PK’s fur had turned rosy and bright!
He gasped and laughed, “Oh, mercy me—
The pinkest roo in the whole country!”

Sticks the emu, legs zipping on through
“Tread light through the thorns - I’ll show you what to do.”
Sir-Glides-a-Lot soared, gave a wink in the air
“A shortcut for you if you glide with care.”
Whispers the dingo, tail bushy and thin
“Listen, dear PK, for answers on the wind.”
Necktie the lizard, frill high and proud
“Stay calm when you’re worried, stand tall in a crowd.”
[Chorus]
Bounce, bounce, bounce, with help from each friend
Until he reached the valley at the journey’s end.
The wind doctor Ekka listened close to his plea
And swirled PK’s color back, brown as can be…

Except one left toe - still blushing bright pink!
A memory and lesson so he never forgets to think
Listen to your mother, wherever you go
Or you might end up with a bright pink toe!
