Description

We visit the Food+Farm Exploration Center in Plover, WI where we talk to Brittany and Andy about food production and the importance of showing people where their food comes from. Modern farming and agriculture is a high-tech field (heh) that's far more advanced than the classic stereotype of a farmer in bib overalls wearing a straw hat. The Food+Farm Education Center offers an immersive, hands-on experience for students (and adults!) to explore how their food gets from seed to table.
During this episode's Road Trip, we visit the Giant Pumpkin Festival in Nekoosa, WI and talk about all the amazing things to experience there - including the sound (and feel) of a 700-pound pumpkin hitting the ground from several stories up.
