Directed by Dean Parisot and starring Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, and Tony Shalhoub, the film focuses on a cast of a fictional defunct cult television series, Galaxy Quest, who are drawn into a real interstellar conflict when they are visited by actual aliens who think the series is an accurate documentary.
