Do you know if you have a lien against your property? Well, Rick Cenname from Equity Title says, now is a good time to check and make sure your title and your property is in order. Review your title often to ensure there is nothing affecting it or recorded against your property. Title companies such as Equity title can run a property profile for free, the property profile report is computer generated with tons of information that can be up to 13 pages long. The important thing a homeowner should do is to verify their own information to ensure its correct and that there is nothing recorded against the property. Those who own their home outright are more vulnerable to fraud as there are not second set of eye. Fraud is very prevalent and this will help minimize this. If there is anything found on the property profile the title company will create a lien summary.
