The nature of wire fraud is so devious and nasty it is not just in real estate, but it is anytime you are sending a wire. Here is what happens there are numerous of ways that these crooks will steal your money. If you are in a middle of a real estate transaction, they love that because of the big stack of money. What the hackers are going to do they will send you an email it will look like it came from title company, the real estate company or even the lenders company. The scammers get so creative and will have the company logos and they will also say “hey we need you to wire the money here for your transaction.” Before you know it, your money is in a foreign country and it is gone trying to get that money back is extremely difficult to get back and if not impossible. There is a couple of things you can do to protect yourself from that situation you are going to have communication through email that is just how the business works today.
