Description

The inauguration of Joe Biden as President has given hope to many, according to Donal Godfrey SJ, an Irish Jesuit living and working as a chaplain in San Fransisco University.

In the interview above with Pat Coyle, he gives his unique take on recent events. He outlines the importance of Joe Biden's Catholic faith and his own Jesuit friends and colleagues who have assisted him in that regard as recently as at the inauguration. And he speaks of Amanda Gorman, the young black poet who 'stole the show' on January 21, 2021, and who is a member of St Brigid's Catholic Church in Los Angeles.
