Michael Kirwan is a Jesuit theologian who believes we are living in deeply troubled times marked globally by a rise in fascist and nationalistic ideologies. The attendant intolerance, exclusion and racism which those ideologies engender, has left the world feeling increasingly unstable. Kirwan says that theologians in the Judaeo-Christian tradition have much practical wisdom to offer a world that the extremists are trying to pull apart.
