Four stakes races on Sunday! Many horse racing eyes across the nation will be on Emerald Downs this Sunday with a stakes quadruple-header full of quality runners. The track's top two active stakes winners, Slew’s Tiz Whiz and Aloha Breeze, headline the Budweiser and Hastings Stakes respectively. Those two have five Emerald Downs stakes victories to their credit and are both trained by Tom Wenzel. Wenzel is number two all-time among trainer stakes wins, trailing Doris Harwood 67-61.
Fridays are “Half-Price” Fridays at Emerald Downs this year. Take advantage of great pricing at concession and beverage stands. Promotions this weekend include the Diaper Derby on Saturday and a Kids Race on Sunday. Next week, June 29, it’s the world famous T-Rex race at Emerald Downs with another viral video expected.
