Great news, more work necessary for the betterment of Washington Thoroughbred Racing. HB 1928 passed the House in the Washington State Legislature and moves on to the State Senate. The bill would provide funds to the racing industry for purses, breeders, horse aftercare, youth programs, the Racing Commission, fair meets, etc. Contact your local Senator and voice your support.
Robert Geller, Matt Dinerman, Tom Harris and for 2022, new announcer Bill Downes to call the races at Emerald Downs. After nine seasons at Indiana Grand, Downes will travel west for Opening Day, May 15. Also a guest is four-time leading EmD trainer Jeff Metz, who'll be in charge of Emerald Racing Club horses for the new meeting. Happy retirement to former Club trainer Sharon Ross!
