It’s apparent why Bali has remained one of the world’s tourist hotspots for decades. It’s got the sun, ocean, culture and some of the friendliest people on earth. But there’s another big attraction which has grown in recent years and that’s the food scene. If you weren’t aware, there’s an encyclopaedic effort to document what’s on offer in Bali in a book called Flavours Of Bali. Adelaine Ng caught up with former Melbourne resident Adrian Murley who loved Bali so much, he moved there with his wife and daughter. And with the Flavours Of Bali book in hand, she asked him what he was looking forward to most when he gets there, foodwise? But first, he told her he was an unlikely migrant. Flavours of Bali is published by Smudge Publishing, Melbourne.
