But it’s a world that’s no mystery to Jane Lawson who has been travelling, shopping and eating her way through Japan for more than 30 years. She’s written a few Japanese fusion cookbooks but in her latest book, Tokyo Style Guide, she brings insight into the capital’s stylish neighbourhoods. She spoke with Adelaine Ng.
