In case you haven’t noticed, the popular TV show Masterchef Australia has returned to Australian screens. Few would argue that the cooking competition today is harder than ever as contestants and show producers keep pushing boundaries to keep its audience of about two million watching. As Australians are treated to the gastronomic adventure, we thought we’d catch up with Julie Goodwin, the show’s first ever winner back in 2009. She spoke with Adelaine Ng in the midst of a promotional tour for her new cookbook, called Julie Goodwin’s Essential Cookbook.
