Nando Focareta, who, with partner Peppe Fusco, took over the locally famous Ambra Liqueurs when its founder, Libero De Luca retired at the age of 80 five years ago. The company now makes many forms of liqueurs, spritz and cocktail drinks based on the traditional Italian limoncello. The liqueurs are made on site in Thebarton, from all South Australian ingredients. And they have expanded the cellar door to a Spritz and Sports bar for cocktails, tastings etc. The beautiful bottles make a wonderful souvenir for visitors, and are well appreciated by locals.
