This week were doing “Just as I Am” and it was more than a favorite hymn of Graham. It became — almost more than any other hymn — a sort of national anthem for evangelical Christians, a musical creed that spelled out in simple terms the life-changing spiritual transaction between the sinner and the Redeemer. It was written by Charlotte Elliott in 1835 and the tune was composed by a New Englander, William Bradbury
