Description

We are back to our usual show format following our Radiothon shenanigans and interview. We decided we need to circle back on our last topic show - how to communicate about politics. The world around us continues to struggle around the politics of our communities and world, and with the election in less than a month, we want to hone in on some specific strategies to hopefully steer your friendSHIPs and your familySHIPs to calmer waters and away from the rocks with no one jumping or being pushed overboard. If you didn't listen to our last show from September 18 about communicating about politics, you can give it a listen on SoundCloud, regardless - the show should stand on its own, but please go back and listen to the other at some point soon. In less than a month 50% of the people are going to be struggling with a lot of fear and sadness, and we all need to be able to communicate about that effectively to bridge the divide that has been more of a chasm in recent years.

Communication Matters, with Brian and Shauna Smith, is about communication and the human condition. A mental health counselor and speech-language pathologist discuss the vastness of communication and relationships, and provide tips and tricks for improving interpersonal communication skills. This all while being a married couple barbing, bickering, and bantering on these topics without killing each other on the air.
