Description

"When you will count the heads of the Children of Israel for their counting... this is what they shall give... a Half-Shekel of the holy shekel twenty geirah the shekel (geirah is a smaller coin then the shekel, and the verse is telling us that a whole shekel is 20 geirah, thus, we now know that a Half-Shekel is 10 geirah).” -Exodus 30:12-13."
-Exodus 30:12-13

Why does the Torah tell us the value of the whole Shekel, from which we must deduce what the value of the Half-Shekel is, instead of just telling us directly the value of the Half-Shekel that we are commanded to give?

What the Torah is letting us know is that what we are in essence giving is a Half of a greater Whole, and that the two halves are of one whole. What is the Whole, what is our Half, and how are the two halves of one whole ultimately given?

The Talmud talks pf the thief's prayer to G-d that he be successful and not get caught. Why is the Talmud accepting this hypocritical behavior?!

What do Chassidim really believe about their Rebbe?

Why do Chasssidim go to pray at the Ohel, resting place of the Rebbe, of righteous memory? Why is this ritual different to them than going to pray at the resting place of any other holy righteous Tzadik?

In this lecture you will learn fact from myth about chassidic belief and tradition, and you will learn the secret to experience wholeness.
