This lecture is going to take us to the Kabbalistic standards of wealth, in which the person beyond lacks nothing. In addition to this, the lecture is then going to explain what the prayer of such a wealthy man is all about. What makes this an issue is that the Torah mitzvah of prayer is to ask G-d for one's needs (-See Maimonides, Laws of Prayer, Chapter 1 Law 2), and thus, how can a man with truly no needs fulfil the Torah mitzvah of prayer?
The practical modern day issues that we will extrapolate from this mystical journey are:
(a) How can we connect with this level of wealth
(b) How can we take our prayers to this level?
This lecture is based primarily on a maamor the Rebbe delivered, on this Shabbat in 1969, exploring the spiritual dimension of an illogical mitzvah and of the prayer of Moses.
