What happens when we just aren’t open to our faith, our spirituality and our tangible and palatable relationship with G-d? What is there for us, to give us a fighting chance, and a door out of inner-purgatory, when we are experience a total crash and burn in our higher humanity, and our G-dly image, in which we were created?
Yes, we are expected to crash and burn, as the verse states (-Proverbs 24:17), “For a righteous man can fall seven times and rise...” And, for a moment, we will not define, “a righteous man,” as a righteous person, but as the righteous spirituality within each of us. What do we have, in the darkness of the fall, through which to, “And rise?”
This lecture is based primarily on a maamor the Rebbe delivered, on this Shabbat in 1969, exploring the spiritual dimension of the mezuzah that we are commanded to place at our doorpost, and how this commandment manifests itself in placing an inner-mezuzah on our inner-doorpost.
