Can you imagine the (organized) chaos of being a head basketball coach & a parent...times TWO? That’s the everyday reality in the Burke household! Bethann Burke is beginning her eighth season as head women’s basketball coach at DII Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE. The other Coach Burke, Bethann’s husband Dan, leads the men’s basketball program at Wilmington University. Both programs compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
The Burke Family is rounded out by three year old Julianna, who can often be found in the gym cheering on both of her parents’ teams. In this episode, Bethann discusses what it’s like to be a DII coaching mom, married to a DII coaching dad, while also carrying out her responsibilities as GBC Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator. She truly does it all!
