Lost a dear old friend to alcoholism. My favorite actor died around that same time from a drug overdose. There is a hard lesson to be learned when people you love die from addiction. Their lives are taken too soon by their own undoing, victims of addiction. We love them no less but we had wished for more for their lives, and selfishly for our lives too. This song is dedicated to those we have lost to addiction.
