"LINKEDIN NETWORKING 101"
What's the difference between followers and connections?
On LinkedIn, there are two main types of connections you can have:
(A) Followers (B) Connections
Here's how they differ:
(A) FOLLOWERS
1. Anyone can follow you on LinkedIn, regardless of whether you're connected with them.
2. Following someone allows you to see their posts and updates in your news feed, but you won't be able to message them or see their contact information.
3. You can also follow companies or groups on LinkedIn to see their updates in your feed.
(B) CONNECTIONS
1. You can only connect with people who accept your invitation to connect or who send you an invitation to connect.
2. Connections are more personal than followers and allow you to see each other's contact information and message each other directly.
3. Connections also allow you to endorse each other's skills and write recommendations for each other.
In summary, followers are a more passive way to keep up with someone's updates on LinkedIn, while connections are a more active way to build a professional network and engage with other users.
