"SOCIAL AUDIO 101"
An Interview With Sherry Grant (Auckland)
Hi everyone, I’m Sherry Grant from New Zealand and your host today.
Our guest in this interview is Keith Keller from Melbourne, Australia.
I met Keith online around 2021 and we started talking a lot since 2022.
Here is a short introduction.
Keith Keller has been researching the latest trends in Social Media Marketing for well over a decade and currently has a new Social Audio show called “Buy Me A Coffee Monday”.
"Social Audio" is just like a live radio broadcast but also allows members of the audience to participate directly with the host and other listeners during the show.
Keith is thoroughly researching this new trend and now does regular shows on Linkedin, Discord & Go Brunch.
You can find out about the upcoming shows using the link below.

THE INTERVIEW
(1) Can you tell us a bit about how you got into broadcasting and when you decided that this was for you?
I had a radio show after school & this is the light bulb went off for me.
I thought to myself, this is what I want, I want to do this.
So I moved to Melbourne in 1984 & went to radio school in 1984 three times a week for a year at night, after my day job.
Unfortunately for me, and a lot of creative people are like this, I didn't crack my ultimate goal, but it's still in my blood.
So, I went into the world and bought a house and got married and did all the sensible things but I got back into it in 2008 through a site called Blog talk radio, which was very similar to what Clubhouse would become in 2020.
We did 108 shows there & it got me thinking again.
This is what I want to do to promote myself, I was working for myself by that time.
This is what I prefer, I don't like to write (etc)
I can speak in public, but I found that quite tiring, I love just talking on the radio so I've been doing it ever since 2008 and I love it......
