Do you have a hard time receiving compliments? Do they make you feel uncomfortable or spotlighted? Accepting a compliment requires vulnerability which might be the reason they make you feel awkward. Try seeing it as an invitation to intimacy or a deeper connection, and practice accepting the invitation.
